We find stories that leave no one indifferent. How to order content from Svoi.Global team

Let us explain how we can be helpful to international reporters and how to start the cooperation with Svoi.Global.
1. What is Svoi.Global?
At present, Svoi.Global doesn’t work as a classic media outlet. Currently, this website is more of a calling card, presenting translations of the best materials, prepared by the ABO team for its own media outlets in Ukraine (Svoi, Evacuation and 45 local media outlets of The City network, working in small towns around Ukraine).
All the articles of Svoi.Global can be reprinted free of charge in other media or added to newsletters. Just indicate the source and add an active link to our website.
2. So, why have you launched this website?
The primary task of this website is to establish cooperation between the ABO team and the international media. We are willing to write exclusive materials for them, help them search for new heroes, and offer translations of our articles for further publication.
Our major goal is to tell as many people abroad as possible about what is actually happening in Ukraine and what the Ukrainians are facing.
3. Who is behind it, and why should we trust you?
We are the team of the ABO, the Local Media Development Agency. In the last five years, we have launched 45 local media outlets in different small towns of Ukraine, launched several niche media, and consolidated a community of over 300 reporters and editors. You can find out more about us at the website of the International Press Institute.
Our team has a good reputation in the media community, among NGO’s involved in the content quality monitoring in the media (ІМІ, Detector Media), and international media organizations. The editorial office was on the long list for the award High Standards of Journalism 2021 award.
4. What if you are biased? How can we check the reliability of the information?
All materials, prepared by our reporters, go through the fact-checking procedure. In addition, we are willing to provide contacts of the people mentioned in all our stories, the records of our conversations with them, and other information whose reliability can be checked by your team, if required (except for the sources whose safety requires anonymity).
5. Our media outlet doesn’t reprint outside content. Can you write exclusively for us?
We can. In addition to our reporters, we have a pool of freelancers from different cities in Ukraine who are prepared to do such jobs. Our team will provide editing, fact-checking, and take care of the logistics.
6. We are interested in a person from your story. We would like to have our own interview with him/her and publish a story of our own. Will you share the contact data with us?
Sure thing! We will arrange an interview with him/her. If required, we will explain to your reporters the context of this person’s situation and share any additional information that you might need.
7. Our editorial office has already been working on several topics about Ukraine, but we lack the information (Ukrainians’ comments or testimonies). Can you help us find them?
We can recommend people who have already been in our stories. We can also find stories you need in small towns, where The City’s local media outlets work. To search for people in other cities or towns, you want to get in touch with professional fixers, helping international media in Ukraine (we will help you with their contacts).
8. We like your texts. We would like to help you distribute them
We are happy to get any assistance in distributing our content. If you can get us in touch with editors and reporters of other media who might be interested in this cooperation, we would appreciate it very much. We are also looking for contacts for large news aggregators who would agree to take our content into their feed.
9. How can we get in touch with you?
Please write to us at [email protected] or directly to Yuliana Okhotnik, the project coordinator. Here is her Facebook page.
